Motocross World Championship MX2
Paul Jonass (KTM) wins the GP of Europe
Already in the first round, Pauls Jonass (KTM) took the lead in the second round of Valkenswaard and won the Grand Prix of Europe. Brian Hsu took a long time to rank 2 and Henry Jacobi took home the other points.
The ‘holeshot’ for the second MX2 run in Valkenswaard was won by Jorge Prado, who was particularly committed after a disappointing first race. But the 16-year-old went above the limit and flew violently in the first round. Fortunately, he did not hurt himself. Nevertheless, the Spaniard had to drive the box and then did not reach the points.
Leader Jonass, Julien Lieber and Brian Hsu also appeared at the top. After losing too much due to a mistake and later giving up the race, Hsu suddenly rushed to 2nd place. The German could hold this second place over half the distance, but against the race he could no longer keep the World Cup elite behind. Nevertheless, an excellent sixth place for Brian Hsu jumped out.
Jeremy Seewer fought his way to the front after a moderate start and Brent van Doninck (Yamaha) fought his first podium of the current season in Holland.
The second German starter, Henry Jacobi (Husqvarna), started behave in the second round, but in the end he finished in 18th place.
